Autopsy report obtained from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office Diversityconfirmed the 66-year-old man’s cause of death on Tuesday, June 18.
Priam, who had worked a 14-hour shift on the set of the ABC series just before the incident, died on May 11 when his Toyota Highlander car flipped onto its roof after going off a Los Angeles freeway.
The autopsy report revealed that Priyam had died of “sudden cardiac arrest,” and that “there were no fatal injuries.”

The outlet also reported that Priam, a grip and crew member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 80, was heading home around 4:30 a.m. after his shift ended at 4:06 a.m.
He continued traveling for 20 minutes, until his SUV “slid off the 57 Freeway, struck a tree, went down an embankment, and overturned.”
Priyam was declared dead at the scene and his identity was revealed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. IATSE also confirmed his death.
The organization released a statement in light of the tragedy.
“We are fully committed to the safety and well-being of all of our members and offer our heartfelt condolences to the member’s family,” the statement said. “Workers have a reasonable expectation that they can go to work and come home safely. No one should be put in unsafe conditions while trying to earn a living.”

“He was on the verge of retirement, having completed his paperwork. He had planned his already rich life for retirement, which included spending time with his wife, watching his nephew grow up, riding his beloved Harley, and even trying to stay connected with his friends,” Moscol wrote on May 12, according to the Crew Stories Instagram account. “He was so happy with what he had learned about retirement, he wanted to teach everyone he could about retirement locally.”
