Ajooni Biotech ties up with Avalon Bioenergy for sustainable moringa processing – ET HealthWorld | Pharma

New Delhi: Ajooni Biotech on Tuesday said it has cooperated Avalon BioenergyAn Indian subsidiary of a US-based Avalon Energy GroupUnder this collaboration, processing plants including crushing and drying mills for processing of Moringa seeds and leaves will be established for sustainable processing of Moringa in the country. As per the partnership agreement, Avalon will focus on extracting oil for further processing and marketing, while Azouni will use the remaining oil cake for production. animal feed Products for further processing and distribution within India as well as for export.

“Avalon and Ajunni are interested in working together as strategic partners for the agro-processing component of the Moringa Project, whereby Avalon will set up processing plants/crushing and drying mills to process Moringa seeds and leaves into oil for further processing and marketing, and Ajunni will produce oil cake for animal feed, for further processing and sale to its customers in India or export abroad,” Ajunni said in an exchange filing.

Avalon Bioenergy Private Limited, a subsidiary of United States-based Avalon Energy Group LLC, is an Indian clean energy biorefinery development company established to design, build and operate multiple manufacturing plants across India to produce biodiesel, glycerin, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), oleo chemicals and other products.

Avalon has also signed a long-term purchase and sales contract with Novi LLC, a former chemical company owned by Chevron USA Inc.

Avalon is leasing/acquiring agricultural land for cultivating Moringa Oleifera and other oilseed crops across India. It is also entering into contract farming agreements with large and small cooperatives to grow Moringa Oleifera and other oilseed crops.

Additionally, Ajoni has expressed interest in collaborating with Avalon on similar projects in the United States, Africa, Latin America, and other regions of the world.

This partnership between Avalon and Ajuni reflects commitment towards sustainable and integrated processing of Moringa, which will create valuable products for domestic and international markets as well as promote Moringa cultivation in India.

Recently, Ajuni has announced the acquisition of 5,55,000 sq yard (49,95,000 sq ft) of land near Harij village in Patan district of Gujarat for Moringa cultivation.

Earlier, Ajooni had leased 64,000 sq yard of land in Derabassi, Punjab for Moringa nursery and plantation.

The company expects to generate additional annual revenue of Rs 200 crore from commercial production of Moringa by FY 2025-26.
