Amber Portwood is reportedly being congratulated.
According to US Weekly, the controversial MTV personality is engaged to her boyfriend, Gary, who recently got married. Made her debut on Teen Mom,
This outlet wrote a few days ago that The proposal took place He added that, “within the last two weeks,” Portwood’s engagement ring “was crafted from a family stone that was remade into a new ring.”
Simply put?
The tabloid claims of Portwood, “She’s really happy.”
Amber hasn’t said much publicly about Gary, who, apparently, is not the father of her eldest child, Gary Shirley. It’s a different man named Gary.
The engaged couple met on a dating app about nine months ago.
All we know about this new Gary is that he’s in his 30s … he doesn’t have any kids of his own … he’s never watched Teen Mom … and he lives near Amber’s hometown of Indianapolis.
US Weekly Insider reports:
“They have been in couples therapy and talk about everything. They are very proactive in their relationship and are working to prevent problems before they start.”
That’s good to know – because Amber has had her share of problems, too.
She allegedly threatened ex-boyfriend Andrew Glennon with an axe in 2019.

Portwood’s personal life has been featured on reality television ever since she first appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2009.
She later became a cast member of Teen Mom and Teen Mom OG from 2009 to 2021.
The mother of two returns to the franchise for 2022’s Teen Mom: Family Reunion and 2023’s Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
Portwood has a daughter named Leah with Shirley, to whom he was engaged twice; and he also has a son, James, with Glennon, whom he dated from 2017 to 2019.
Portwood became engaged to Matt Baier in 2015.
As mentioned above, Gary made his debut on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter during the June 6 episode, in which Amber formally introduced him to her co-stars as her “boyfriend” during a group Zoom call.
“We’re officially a couple now,” he said.
Why might this relationship last?
“All of the guys Amber has dated were fans of the show before meeting on social media,” Us Weekly reported last week.
“This new guy in her life has actually never watched Teen Mom, so she feels like she can finally date the way she’s always wanted to.”
