BBMP audit confirms 1 dengue death, 213 new cases in Bengaluru – ET HealthWorld

Bengaluru: Two days after two persons died due to suspected dengue, a BBMP audit has confirmed that one — a 27-year-old man from Kaggadasapura — was a victim of the vector-borne disease, and the other was a cancer patient and dengue was not the cause of his death.

This has been confirmed amid a sharp rise in dengue cases. Affairs With 213 new cases confirmed on Friday and Saturday, the total number of people infected with dengue in the city in the first 29 days of June reached 1,742.

On Friday, BBMP officials said that two people had died possibly due to dengue. On Saturday, a health check-up revealed the exact cause of death. The report confirmed that the man from Kaggadasapura died of dengue, while the cause of death of the 80-year-old woman was ruled out as dengue.

According to BBMP officials, the 27-year-old man was admitted to a private hospital after complaining of fever on June 25 and died due to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome on June 27. The BBMP submitted the report to the state government on Saturday.
