What a surprise! On Thursday, blake shelton And Post Malone took the stage for a surprise performance at CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium, and the duo wowed everyone with their new single “Somebody Pour Me a Drink.”
The 28-year-old “Congratulations” singer surprised the crowd by joining the 47-year-old country singer, while Shelton’s wife, Gwen Stefani, also cheered them on in the audience.
The performance took place as part of day one of CMA Fest 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee, which will welcome country music fans and artists from June 6-8.
This is their first live performance of the song together and marks the official release of the single, which they released in 2014. The teasing began in late MayIn a post on Instagram at the time, Post Malone shared a snippet of the song and a video of him dancing while listening to it. “Somebody get me a drink, somebody get me a cigarette,” Post Malone and Shelton can be heard singing together.
He captioned the post, “🍻 @blakeshelton,” with the clinking of the beer particularly fitting with the “somebody get me a drink” lyric.
Shelton responded, “👀👀👀,” as Stefani commented, “Can’t handle so cool and cute!! Super fan alert!”
