BTS’ Jin to Serve as Torchbearer at 2024 Paris Summer Olympics

K-pop superstar and BTS Band member Gin will be attending the grand opening ceremony soon 2024 Paris Olympics,

The famous singer has been selected to take part in the Paris 2024 Olympic torch relay as one of the honored torchbearers representing South Korea. The K-pop group’s label Big Hit Music announced the news on Tuesday.

The timeline of Jin’s participation in the months-long global event has not been revealed. The 2024 Olympic torch relay began in Olympia, Greece, in April and will pass through France, the event’s home country.

Torchbearers from different nations will travel across the country and visit numerous historic sites to open this year’s Games – which begin on July 26 and run until August 11.

The Olympic Torch Relay event will involve more than 10,000 torchbearers and ceremonies will take place at over 400 locations across France and its various overseas territories. Olympic website.

News of Jin’s involvement in the historic event comes just weeks after the 31-year-old singer. Became the first member of BTS to complete his mandatory service In the South Korean Army.

Jin — who is the oldest member of BTS — begins his military service in December 2022, shortly after the K-pop group announced its hiatus so that each member could complete South Korea’s mandatory 18-month conscription.

In the months that followed, BTS members Suga, V, Jimin, RM, Jung Kook and J-Hope all started their time together in the military. The group is expected to reunite and make more music as a group once everyone’s service is complete in 2025.
