CBI busts bribery racket at RML Hospital; nine, including two cardiologists, arrested – ET HealthWorld

The CBI arrested Naresh Nagpal of medical equipment supplier Nagpal Technologies, who paid Rs 2.48 lakh to Parvatagowda to promote the sale of medical equipment, Bharat Singh Dalal of Bharti Medical Technologies, who paid Rs 2.48 lakh to Raj using UPI. Bar had bribed, and Abrar Ahmed, who had bribed the cath lab. Officials said that the in-charge of the hospital is Rajneesh Kumar.

He said that along with Rajneesh Kumar, clerks Bhuwal Jaiswal, Sanjay Kumar and Vikas Kumar have also been arrested.

The investigating agency alleged that Bhuwal Jaiswal took bribes to fix appointments with doctors, while Sanjay Kumar took bribes to obtain fake medical certificates.

All the arrested accused were produced before a special court here, which sent them to CBI custody till May 14.

This is the second major action against nexus between doctors and medical suppliers in recent times. CBI had arrested Safdarjung Hospital last year Neurosurgeon Manish Rawat is accused of allegedly taking bribe from medical suppliers.
