According to documents obtained by TMZ, the father told police that he “had past issues with Rennie and that he disliked her.”[d] He also reportedly said that he didn’t want Renee to have the satisfaction of losing her daughter.
Police further said that upon further questioning, the father made vague remarks – and was eventually reprimanded by police. his actions …told him that the way he behaved was not acceptable.
The father was apparently asked if he regretted his actions, and police claim he said yes – but only for the sake of his daughter… so it seems he’s still bitter about whatever disagreement he had with the superintendent.
Police also said that based on conversations with the father, they think he had planned to do this in advance. Anyway, the father was escorted off the premises — and the officer decided to issue a summons for disorderly conduct.
By the way, Renee herself applied for the restraining order and in the documents obtained by TMZ she did not tell about the personal history between her and the father. In fact, she wrote that her relationship with the father is “random” … so at first glance it seems that they were surprised.
Renee described the incident in the documents, claiming the father said “you will not touch my daughter.” Renee said she pushed the father away and told him not to shake hands with her before they were separated and the father was taken away.
The superintendent was seeking court-ordered protection … and he got it temporarily. A hearing is scheduled for later this month.
