In a recent podcast, Days of Our Lives actress Ari Zucker discussed her exit from the NBC Peacock soap opera. And she shed more light on the controversy that went on backstage. Zucker, who played Nicole Walker for 26 years, revealed that her contract was not renewed. The move is the equivalent of a dismissal in the soap world.
She shared her thoughts about the unsafe environment on set. And the alleged negligence of the executive producers, and mistreatment of her fellow cast members. This led to several actresses and PR personnel being let go back in March 2023. However, Zucker was fired from the show twice, first in June 2023 during the story of Holly is in a coma. With the help of her lawyer, she was able to return to the show, but eventually left the show in December 2023.
Despite this dramatic turn of events, Zucker expressed his love Days of Our Lives and viewers felt more relief that the show was renewed for several years. The actress also hinted at her character’s exit, but refrained from giving specifics. She believes her last air date will be July 29, 2024. Even after her departure, Zucker is handling the change gracefully and is focusing on her life coaching business.
