2024 Daytime Emmy Awards Gearing up for another year of celebrations. With drama series like Neighbours, The Bay, bold and beautiful, days of Our Lives, general HospitalAnd the young and the Restless in the running for top honors.
This year, the Australian soap opera, Neighbours, has received two nominations. This happened after it was cancelled by its parent network. And later it was picked up by Amazon. There have been some significant changes in the soap field. For example, the Young Artist award has been removed, which was last won by General Hospital’s Eden McCoy.
The Daytime Emmy Awards are not lacking in star power, with celebrities like Tamara Brown, Finola Hughes, Katherine Kelly Lang, Annika Noelle, Michelle Stafford and Cynthia Watros competing for Best Actress in a Daytime Drama. For lead actors, Eric Braeden, Scott Clifton, Thorsten Kay, Eric Martsolf and John McCook are the leading contenders.
The awards also pay tribute to excellence in technical aspects, with nominations in the categories of lighting direction, technical direction, camerawork and video, casting, art direction, set decoration and scene design, costume design and styling, and hairstyling and makeup.
