Deputy Secretary Campbell Meets with Belgian Secretary General for Foreign Affairs Gentzis

Deputy Secretary Kurt M. Campbell met today in Brussels with Secretary-General Theodora Jentzis of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Deputy Secretary Campbell thanked Belgium for its leadership during its presidency of the European Union Council. The two discussed the importance of closing the financing gap for Ukraine and maintaining solidarity against Russia’s brutal aggressive war, including Belgium’s strong military and humanitarian support for Ukraine. Deputy Secretary Campbell also raised the PRC’s support for Russia’s defense industrial base.
