Deputy Secretary Kurt M. Campbell met with Indian Secretary of State Vinay Kwatra and Deputy National Security Advisor Vikram Misri in New Delhi today and discussed their enduring commitment to strengthening the U.S.-India partnership. Deputy Secretary Campbell congratulated Prime Minister Modi and the NDA government on their victory in the national elections and congratulated the people of India for making their voices heard in the largest democratic election in history. They also discussed ways to strengthen regional and multilateral coordination in the Indo-Pacific region through the Quad partnership. Both the Deputy Secretary and Foreign Minister expressed their intent to continue collaborating to ensure a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
