Dominic West is finally able to see the funny side of Lily James’ photos that got him into scandal.
The 54-year-old actor was photographed embracing his ‘The Pursuit of Love’ co-star Lily, 35, while they were sightseeing in Rome, Italy without his wife Katherine Fitzgerald in October 2020 He has now admitted that the couple may joke about it. “Absurd Situation”.

After the photos were published, West and his wife posed together outside their home and held a sign that read: “Our marriage is strong and we are still together. Thank you. Katherine and Dominic.”
In The Times interview, Dominic insisted that the uproar helped him understand playing King Charles in ‘The Crown’ as the royal found himself at the center of many headline-grabbing storylines over the years.
West continued: “I had a very deep understanding of what it was like to feel the fear of having your name or your picture in the newspapers.
“There’s that terrifying moment when something is found out about you. I think anyone can understand how that feels.
“But I’ve been through it and it definitely shows how I relate to [the role of Charles], That visceral feeling of fear is not something you’re familiar with.”
