Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F The star recently sat down for a chat New York Times interview podcastWhere he joked by commenting that nowadays he is not able to keep up with pop culture and trends at all.
Murphy laughed, “I’ve gone too far. I used to be very trendy. I knew everybody, and now there’s so many things. I ask my wife, ‘Who is this person?’ She says, ‘Oh, he’s like that. They’re the greatest thing in the world.'”
He made a similar reference later in the interview, saying Butcher was his wife when he joked about the TV shows they watched together.
“Every night at 6 p.m., when I eat dinner, I’m on the phone with Steve Harvey and family FeudOn Tuesday, I’ll see The Masked SingerWe do!” Murphy said. “Me and my wife, we watch all the shows, singing competitions and things like that.”
Murphy and Butcher first began dating in 2012, and later got engaged in September 2018. It’s unclear if the two have actually exchanged vows, or if Murphy was simply using the term “wife” for convenience.
Murphy and Butcher have two children together – Daughter Izzy, 8 years old and son Max, 5 years old.
Murphy is also the father of eight other children, five of whom are with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell – including Bria, 34, Miles, 31, Shyne, 29, Zola, 24, and Bella, 22. Murphy also has sons Eric, 34, and Christian, 33, with former partners Paulette McNeely and Tamara Hood. Murphy also has daughter Angel, 17, with ex-girlfriend Mel B.
Murphy recently spoke with ET about the premiere Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F talked about it last month, and spoke openly about it His son Eric is dating Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmine.
The lovebirds have been dating for several years now, and many fans are wondering about future wedding plans – and who will pay for the event.
Murphy told ET that this part really shouldn’t be an issue.
“Well, traditionally the father pays for the daughter, am I right? That’s the way it is,” Murphy said, placing the financial responsibility on Lawrence’s shoulders. “It shouldn’t be an issue, you know? Bad Boys It’s out of the park and Martin has a lot of money, so he should be able to play for a great wedding.”
