Erin Napier had a ‘mystery illness’ that threatened her life

Several years ago, Erin Napier began experiencing severe pain that disrupted her life. She would lose time for days at a time, and doctors were at first unable to figure out why.

It started when she was only 19

“The first time it happened, I was 19, it just partially ruptured. Not enough to kill me, just enough to make me sick,” Erin explained.

Fortunately, when the doctors discovered the problem, they removed his appendix. This relieved his chronic abdominal pain.

Why did Erin Napier have throat surgery in 2022?

Recently, Erin was admitted to the hospital and underwent a surgery on her throat. She opened up about her stay in the hospital. Instagram those days.

“Was in the hospital tonight after throat surgery and felt taken care of by an old friend,” Erin wrote at the time.

‘This is very frightening to me’

“I’m not talking about colds, but the flu, stomach viruses… We’ve been together for eight years and neither of us has ever had the flu in that time…” Erin said.

“It seems so silly,” she said. “There are people who suffer from illnesses that are worse than the common flu, but this is so scary to me.”

For the record, it’s wise to take sensible steps to avoid the flu. As we’ve all seen over the past several years, avoiding a virus doesn’t always mean it leaves you unscathed. The flu is much less dangerous than COVID-19, but it’s still no joke.
