UEFA’s Euro 2024 tournament – the confederation championship of European national football teams – kicks off this coming weekend and with it, EA SPORTS FC 24 will see an Ultimate Team promotion, “Greats of the Game,” which celebrates some of the top performers on one of football’s biggest stages.
Although Electronic Arts has not officially confirmed this New card seriesDetails have already been leaked, let alone its launch date, to increase the curiosity of football fans. Greats of the Game will feature a number of players from both Europe and America, whose Copa America tournament begins in the United States later this month.
EA Sports FC 24 has already been pushed forward Title update on June 5th which broadcast the Euro 2024 tournament, with full presentation and commentary, on the world’s best-selling sports video game.
According to the EA FC Insider Foot Scoreboard, for Greats of the Game, player cards will upgrade based on how their team performs in any tournament. For example, if a player’s national team scores two goals in any tournament, they will be given a +1 In Form upgrade. If their team scores four goals, the card is given a +1 Playstyle+ or an additional 99 rating in a core attribute (such as shot, defense, pace or passing).

The full list of the game’s greats has yet to be announced, but dataminers and leakers have already revealed several big names that are set to appear. These include France’s Emmanuel Petit, Romania’s Gheorghe Hagi, Italy’s Antonio Di Natali, and Brazil’s Rivaldo.

As you can see, all of these players are very highly rated from the start and will only get better as their teams progress in their respective tournaments. The Copa America, which features national teams from CONCACAF (North America, Central America and the Caribbean) and CONMEBOL (South America), begins on June 20 with group play in 14 U.S. cities. The tournament is a prelude to the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico.
When does EA Sports FC 24 Greats of the Game start?
Euro 2024 begins on June 14 and will be held across 10 venues in Germany next month. Italy are the defending champions of that tournament (they won in 2020), and the 24-man squad will include mighty Spain and Portugal, as well as first-time participants Georgia; Serbia and Slovenia (both making their first appearance since 2000), and sentimental favourites Scotland (who made it to Euro 2020 after a 24-year absence).
A start date for EA FC 24’s Greats of the Game series hasn’t been announced, but given the timing of both tournaments it should begin this coming weekend (June 7), giving players a chance to pick up these cards, add them to their Ultimate Team lineups, and await upgrades as the action kicks off in both hemispheres.
