Anderson’s wife, actress Saxon Trainerconfirmed the news Saturday via Instagramon June 1. “My husband Eric passed away this morning,” she wrote. “I am passing this message on to my brother-in-law Michael O’Malley‘I am so disappointed now that I can’t write anything.’
O’Malley described Anderson as “a smart and funny guy” and “a fantastic cook,” and said that in addition to being an accomplished actor, he has published three novels.
“He had a long successful career as an actor – he was in That Old Show in the ’30s; he was Felicity’s father Ultimate happinessHe was killed in a cellar Friday the 13th Movie: He was on Star Trek and dozens of other shows,” O’Malley added. “I’ll miss him, but his suffering is over.”

I loved him. I wish you knew him, there was nobody like him. He was great fun, took on whatever the day brought, he was very mischievous and eccentric at the same time.”
Gordon, 63, revealed that he and Anderson saw each other “less on set” after their characters’ divorce, but they still kept in touch.
“We would spend hours together and talk. He was so smart,” she wrote. “Ah, look at this Eric, I’m using the past tense. My friend, I hope to see you again in dreams and other dimensions. Fly high, my friend.”
