Gayle King Says Oprah Was Hospitalized Over Stomach Bug, Stuff ‘Out of Both Ends’

Oprah Winfrey was missing from CBS this week, despite previously being announced as a guest on the program to promote a new book – and the reason is simple … she was pooping and vomiting.

o’s best friend gayle king He got a little insight during “CBS Mornings” on Tuesday — where he and the other anchors were hosting author David Wroblewski …who has a new book out, which Oprah has included as the latest book in her famous book club.

Gayle explained Oprah’s absence — she said she had a stomach bug that forced her into a hospitalization. Then, went into a little more detail about how it was affecting her … and it’s horrifying.

She explained… “He had some stomach issues – stomach flu – something was coming out of both sides. I won’t go into too much detail. Needless to say, he had to be hospitalized, he was dehydrated, he had to have an IV, it was very serious.”

According to Gayle, Oprah is doing well – she hopes her best friend is okay with the fact that she made her health news public. GK also said that he hopes O is okay with the fact that this information has gone public. 😅

Thankfully, David wasn’t fazed by Oprah’s absence, and happily promoted his new masterpiece, “Familiaris,” on the morning show.

It probably also helps that O has already talked about her book on social media, with a solid caption highlighting how good of a read it is.
