Some excerpts from his interview on the sidelines of his busy campaign.

From bureaucrat to politician, was politics a choice or happens by chance?

Bureaucracy and politics go together. One is incomplete without the other. Be it bureaucracy or politics, my aim has always been to serve the people. As a bureaucrat in the last three decades, no matter what position I have held, I have always connected with the people and tried my best to solve their problems. So, it is a continuing journey but in a different capacity.

As you know, Raichur has gained very little in the last few years compared to the long list of what it has lost. How do you plan to address this disparity?

I completely agree with you. Be it AIIMS, irrigation projects, or infrastructural progress, the district has always lagged behind other districts. If elected, it will be my top priority to bring AIIMS to Raichur and ensure adequate funding for ongoing mobility and infrastructure projects. My experience in bureaucracy will come in handy as I know how to channelize funds from the Center to the districts. Also, all the leaders of the district are giving their full support.

What has been the response of the people to the five guarantee schemes? Will they help you gain political mileage?

The state government has successfully implemented the five promised guarantee schemes. The schemes have provided relief to the citizens from severe inflation. This has helped in gaining the trust and confidence of the voters. Not only one section of the society has benefited from this, but everyone has benefited equally. Now our national manifesto also talks about equal guarantees for different sections of the society. This goodwill of citizens in favor of the state government administration will help us get Raichur back from BJP.

Does Kumar Naik have any special plans for Raichur?

I want to bridge the gap in providing quality education, focus on addressing malnutrition and end the mass migration of people from different parts of Raichur to urban areas in search of better livelihood by creating adequate employment opportunities. want to do.
