Gypsy Rose Blanchard reconnected with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker After separation from husband Ryan Anderson – But she didn’t leave her husband for her ex-husband.
Blanchard, 32, exclusively told our weekly on Wednesday, May 29, that Urker “honestly” was not the reason filed for divorce April divorced Anderson. However, she acknowledged that her history with Urker has been a point of contention in their marriage.
“I think it was an insecurity that was there for a very long time,” she said. “I called Ken two weeks before the wedding. Ken was always raised to be someone who could never leave my feelings behind, but I put them on the back burner to do what was best for our marriage. And so, it’s been a point of contention, but I didn’t leave Ryan for Ken. It was just a feeling of euphoria.” [of]’Hey, we still love each other after this incident.’”
Blanchard met Urker and Anderson while she was serving time in prison for the second-degree murder of her mother. Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchardwho allegedly abused her during her childhood.

There was a gypsy to release in December 2023 After serving a sentence of seven years. Nicolas Godejohnwho killed Dee Dee in 2015 after planning the crime with Gypsy, is still serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole after being convicted of first-degree murder in 2018.
Gypsy and Urker connected through a pen pal program. They got engaged in 2018 but split the following year. Gypsy married Anderson in 2022 while he was still in prison. “Time has passed and people will see that it wasn’t just one thing that led to this decision. It was a combination of many things, [for example] I wasn’t happy and I wanted to be happy,” she said. “I think a lot of women would probably agree with this, where it’s like you want this relationship to work and so you keep it going, and then you wake up in the middle of the night and you’re like, ‘I’m not happy. The other person is happy, but I’m not and I’m living in my own body. I have to walk my own path and it’s not fair to take the other person’s lead.'”

Although their marriage was not a success, Gypsy holds no ill will towards Anderson. She clarified that The restraining order he filed The order issued against him in April is purely on financial grounds and is not a no contact no-contact order.
“We have been in very little communication since I filed the complaint [for divorce]And I wish him the very best,” she said. “Right now we’ve decided not to communicate anymore, because I think that’s probably best for our healing at this point, and we’re going through the divorce process and wishing each other the best. … I know there’s hurt, but hopefully we can move on from this and think fondly of each other in the future.”
Now that Gypsy has reestablished her relationship with Urker – she confirmed their romance in April — she plans to draw on the lessons she learned regarding her relationship with Anderson.

,[Ken and I] We met at a point in our lives where I don’t think it would have worked out at that time because we had a lot of growing up to do and maturing to do. And now that we have a few more years together, we’re reconnecting,” she said. “I’m learning about relationships and what I’ve learned, I can take forward. [and] Taking what not to do from my relationship with Ryan and applying it to my relationship with Ken, understanding what I will stand for [and] What I am not ready for. Mutual respect is very important.”
Gypsy is also open to the idea of walking down the wedding aisle again one day.
“I definitely think marriage is something I’m ready for again. I’d have to get divorced first,” she joked. “We’re just trying to take it slow right now. As far as kids, yes, of course I want kids someday. I think I’d be a great mom. I think Kane would be a great dad, and so we’ll see what the future holds for us.”
