New Delhi: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda directed that Department of Pharmaceuticals To upgrade quality of all pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing plants World-class standards In the next three years.

After taking charge, Nadda held a review meeting of the Department of Pharmaceuticals with Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Anupriya Patel in the national capital on Saturday.

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers said in a press release that during the meeting, the Department presented a detailed overview of the Pharma and Meditech sectors and gave a detailed presentation on the activities of the Department including the regulatory framework and schemes implemented by it.

The Minister stressed the need to focus on the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India in 2047 and also reviewed the five-year agenda and 100-day action plan.

After assuming charge on June 14, Nadda held a meeting with top officials of the ministry to discuss the 100-day plan for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The 100-day plan includes the launch of the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX), a special drive against ‘tobacco’ use especially among youth and adolescents, a national drive against NCDs (non-communicable diseases), and deployment of Arogya Maitri Disaster Management Cube-BHISHM (revolutionary mobile hospital equipped with state-of-the-art technology) and U-WIN portal for celebration of registration of children’s vaccination.
