The Golden Braid is definitely one of these as it greatly increases Holy damage negation, with some suggesting it might be one of the best talismans to use for the DLC’s final boss.
Below, we’ll explain where to find the Golden Braid Talisman in Elden Ring so you can increase your holy damage negation and defeat bosses that are strong in that area.
Where to find the Golden Braid Talisman in Elden Ring: Shadows of Erdtree
The Golden Braid Talisman is of course hidden in the Shadows of the Aardtree, and you’ll need to progress quite a bit through the DLC to get it.
This is because you will need to unlock a section in the north-eastern part of the map called Scaduview, which will require some pre-requisites and the use of a gesture.
The first place you need to get this gesture is by obtaining it from Boney Village, located east of the Moorath Ruins area.
Once you reach Bonny Village, go to the top of the area and you can see a kneeling, headless figure making an “O Mother” gesture.
With this cue you’ll now need to proceed through the Shadow Keep area. Using the Moorth Ruins as a starting point, head straight north and you’ll eventually reach it.
Shadow Keep is like a maze, but you’ll be able to find your way out using intricate beams and stairs.
Once you get out and go down the proper lifts, you’ll see a large field. Here, you’ll find Shadow Keep, the Back Gate Site of Grace, where we suggest you rest.
There’s a boss Commander Gaius in the arena so don’t head out there unless you want to fight him. Instead, turn 90 degrees and enter the room to your right.
At the end of the room will be a statue and a Scadutry piece that you can collect.
After collecting it, use the O Mother gesture on the same statue and a secret path will appear behind the statue, leading to Skaduview.
Head through the flower field near the Shaman Village and look for a large tree with a small statue in its trunk and the item you came here for – the Golden Braid Talisman.
