A set of 17 detailed guidelines have been prepared by a multidisciplinary committee of experts led by Dr. Hemlatha R, Director, ICMR-NIN.

Speaking at the launch event held at the ICMR headquarters, Dr. Rajeev Bahl said, “There have been significant changes in the dietary habits of Indians over the last few decades, which has led to an increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases, while creating some problems of undernutrition.
