Idina Menzel Shares Deleted ‘Enchanted’ Song Featuring James Marsden

This is the song that never was – but now Idina Menzel Giving it some shine!

On Tuesday, the actress showed her Instagram followers a hidden gem from the 2007 film, Enchanted — a The song was cut from the film and she sang it with her co-star James Marsden.

“Rescued from the cutting room floor. How dare they!!! We were so cute! @james_marsden,” Menzel wrote.

In the clip, Menzel’s character, Nancy Tremayne, is given a lost shoe by Marsden’s Prince Edward. After the perfect match, the pair launch into a string-led duet about the perfect timing of the events that brought them together in the magical world.

Fans questioned in the comments how such an amazing song could not be included in the movie.

One user wrote, “Why did they cut it????? I’m so glad you shared this with us. This will always be on repeat.”

“Why did they cut it?!?!?! It makes sense because it has the title 😅,” another user said.

“Wait. You sang and they cut it out?!!!! No,” another user wrote, pointing out the fact that the Broadway star didn’t sing in the movie.

Marsden made no response to this beautiful sight.

Magic — which tells the story of a princess who moves from her fairytale land to New York City — also stars Amy Adams, Susan Sarandon, Patrick Dempsey and Julie Andrews.

When she reflects on her previous role, Menzel recently spoke with ET Regarding his upcoming Broadway production, Redwood.

“This is a show that I conceived with Tina Landau many, many years ago, and we’re so excited that it’s going to come to fruition,” Menzel told ET at the 2024 Tony Awards. “It’s about a woman who’s at a crossroads in her life. She gets in a car in New York and escapes everybody. Finds herself on the other side of the country. Finds herself in the foothills of the mystical Redwoods.”
