Nadda chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials of the ministry here today on achieving the targeted health goals in the first 100 days of the formation of the new government, an official statement said.

While reviewing the functioning of the ministry, Nadda directed that emphasis must be laid on the quality of healthcare facilities and health systems, the statement said.

“He emphasised on expanding health assurance coverage under AB-PMJAY and the use of technology in programmes such as immunisation and health emergency response management,” the statement said.

Minister expressed concern over increasing incidents Non-Communicable Diseases And explained the importance of awareness about healthy diet and lifestyle.

Nadda highlighted the need for youth-targeted campaigns for tobacco control, the statement said.

He stressed the need to create awareness about non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and harmful effects of tobacco in scientific and simple language so that the common man can understand it.
