ET’s Nischelle Turner spoke to Brown at his No. 1 party on Tuesday — which was held in celebration of his 11th No. 1 hit, “I Can Feel It,” the lead single from his upcoming new album — and the singer revealed one special team-up he’s particularly excited about.
“I have a song jelly Roll“It’s really cool,” Brown said. “It’s talking about depression and, you know, you can have everything in the world, but unless you talk to somebody about it, you’re still going to go through those things.”
“It’s a very powerful song, and I’m lucky that Jelly is in it because he goes through the same thing,” Brown said.
According to Brown, it’s important for public figures to be vocal about mental health and emotional struggles, as it lets their fans know they’re not alone.
“Yeah, nobody’s perfect. I think a lot of people are superstars, everybody thinks they’re perfect, but everybody has to go through something,” Brown said.
Brown is currently on his In the Air Tour, which began in March, and he is basking in the glow of success as “I Can Feel It” has received a lot of love and support from fans.
This song is inspired and borrowed from ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’? Phil Collins’ Brown gave Collins songwriting credit for the iconic song “In the Air Tonight” — and Brown praised the English music legend for giving the song his blessing.
“It’s cool. I mean, because it’s a very iconic song. Not every artist that has iconic songs will let you do it,” Brown said. “So he let me do it, you know? That means he likes me, he likes my character. Whatever it is, I appreciate you.”
Meanwhile, in between touring and producing music, Brown also Preparing to expand his family with wife Caitlin. this is the pair They are expecting their third child, a sonWho will be joined by her daughters — Kingsley, 4, and Cody, 2.
“The girls are so excited,” Brown said of her daughters, when it comes to welcoming a little sibling. “They’re ready! Kingsley is already, I mean, she’s so mature for a 4-year-old. I’m nervous [about] Cody, because she’s a little tough. She’s really sweet, but she plays rough. So I’m worried about her.”
,[Bu] “The nursery is already done, so we walk by it every morning, but there’s no baby in there yet,” Brown said with a laugh.
When it came to his son’s name, Brown said, “We haven’t announced it yet, but yes, we have decided on that name.” However, he did confirm that the name will start with a K to continue tradition.
