Sam Rubin — a longtime entertainment reporter for news station KTLA in Los Angeles — has died … TMZ has learned.
Sources with direct knowledge tell us… Sam died on Friday after being rushed to a hospital in LA – specifically UCLA West Hills. We’re told Sam suffered a heart attack at his home… where we’re told he went into full cardiac arrest.

Our sources say he was taken away by paramedics sometime this morning. We’re told he was taken by ambulance, but was ultimately declared dead.
Sam has been with KTLA since 1991 – and he’s been a mainstay in Southern California homes covering entertainment, film and TV news for decades… including memorable, funny segments, celebrity interviews and insightful reports that have kept him Won multiple Emmys.

He’s a highly decorated journalist…he’s received a Golden Mike Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Southern California Broadcasters Association, not to mention once being named Best Entertainment Reporter by the Los Angeles Press Club.
Sam was the host of his own television show, “Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin” – which ran for over 100 episodes. Sam is one of the founding members of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
His last celeb interview was not with anyone but someone else Ryan Seacrest, Other A-listers she chatted with on camera – Mariah Carey, Zendaya, burt crusher, morris chestnut, jason priestley, brooke burke, rock, matt riff, assistant teacher, sting and many more.
He is survived by his wife, leslie, and his four children. Sam was 64 years old.
