Life By You Early Access delayed indefinitely and there’s no sign we will see it soon

We’re only two weeks away from the moment life-sim fans have been anxiously waiting to jump into Life by You – Paradox Interactive’s Sims Challenger.

While we didn’t really know what to expect in Early Access Set to go live on June 4thNow we’ll never find out how much, or perhaps how little, we were going to get as the game has been pushed back and no new date has been given for anything.

A statement Mattias Lilja of Paradox reads:

,After much deliberation, we are sorry to announce that we have decided to push back the Early Access release date of Life By You, which was previously scheduled for June 4. This was not an easy decision, especially since we understand the anticipation and enthusiasm many players have for the game. However, we believe additional development time is needed.

Although we would have liked to commit to a new release date, we believe it is more prudent to put this on hold while we plan ahead, rather than commit to a new date with little thought of completion. In we are not sure.

We will provide more information as soon as possible, until then we would like to sincerely thank you for your continued support and patience.

Mattias Lilja, Deputy CEO of Paradox Interactive,

This sounds pretty significant and makes you wonder what was said in the meeting leading up to the Early Access launch. What has changed since EA announced it a short while ago?

The fact that there is no sign of a time when we will get to see things go, suggests that big changes are on the way. Having said that Paradox hasn’t had the easiest of times lately And seeing how a game like Cities: Skylines 2 has performed and struggling to recover will be on people’s minds.

Life By You would certainly have achieved good sales, so there will be a financial loss here too, but balancing the long-term impact of a game that screws up badly is clearly where we are, and a tough one. Paradox is credited with making the decision. ,
