Matthew Lawrence Is considering the possibility of a “Mrs. Doubtfire” reboot … and, he’s confirming he’s keeping an open mind about future projects.
We met Matthew and his brothers, a small coin And andrewThis week in LA, where the former child star told us a reboot is unlikely to happen after robin williams‘ Death.
Matthews, who played one of Robin’s children in the original film, said… “Without Robin, I don’t think that movie would have been possible. In 2014, they talking about it …And everyone was talking about it.”
Unfortunately, Robin died by suicide in August of 2014 – and Matthew says, personally, he “wouldn’t want to do it without her.”
However, Matthews isn’t ruling out reuniting with his former ‘Doubtfire’ co-stars on another project… not to mention a documentary about the beloved film could be an interesting follow-up.
He said, “Documentaries are great. So, I don’t know, maybe we can do that!”

This update comes after Matthew reunited with his onscreen sister Lisa Jacob …Who Revealed How Robin Is on the “Brotherly Love Podcast” went to bat for him She was expelled from school during the shooting of “Mrs. Doubtfire”.
As Lisa remembers… Robin wrote a letter to her school principal urging him to reconsider her expulsion, proving that the Oscar winner was one of the nicest people in Hollywood.
Robin was suffering from some unknown disease He died of a case of Lewy body disease – a form of dementia – when he was 63.
Even when talking about him today, you can hear how much of an influence he had on his young ‘Doubtfire’ co-stars.
