Meta Quest 3 v67 update – here’s what’s in there

Meta is committed to improving Meta Quest 3 with new Updates are being released on a monthly basisThis month’s update, Horizon OS v67, is now available to users of the headset.

The main updates in this update are centered around productivity and social interaction. There is an enhancement to moving and grouping windows, users can now have up to three panels in a “hinged” layout, plus three additional panels to arrange as they please.

These customization options will allow users to create a setup that will best suit any task they are doing and will be especially useful for tasks that require multiple windows at once, such as content lists and tutorial videos on YouTube for example.

Also new is Theater View mode, which allows users to bring one window front and center, increase its size, and dim everything else – this is useful for people who use expanded window options.

MetaQuest 3 update brings a new creator content feed

Another new feature introduced with Horizon OS v67 is the addition of content created by creators to the Horizon Feed, making it a social experience.

According to Meta”Not only will this new content introduce you to new games and apps, but we’re also including destination tagging so you can easily jump into anything that catches your eye.”

This will combine well with the increased window capability, allowing users to open and search for anything of interest in a new window.

More new features are rumored

There are rumors of some additional new features, but Meta hasn’t updated them yet Release Notes Page to include details about v67, so we won’t know for sure until the update fully rolls out or the page is updated.

One such update is the addition of swipe typing, which allows users to swipe their fingers across the keyboard instead of tapping each letter individually. This is popular on smartphones and other touchscreen devices. You can check if you have this feature by going to Settings > System > Keyboard and activating it there.

Users will also be able to view videos from a file viewer or MetaQuest TV by opening the VR app.
