Microsoft Flight Sim Dev Update plots out what is incoming this month

May is going to be a big month for fans of Microsoft Flight Simulator, with Sim Update 15 and City Update 7 both reported to be arriving in the next few weeks.

News of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 It remains weak on the ground, but with enough updates coming to its bigger sibling to keep us busy, we can’t complain too much.

Sim Update 15 with several changes to the game is tentatively scheduled for release on Sunday (May 5) with the Airbus A320neo. latest dev update, One of the more noticeable changes from above in the update will be a major upgrade to how shallow water appears with the addition of high-resolution textures to make these areas more realistic in appearance.

Meanwhile, the Airbus A320neo is suffering from stability issues on the Xbox version of the game and two new dev versions were sent out to beta testers last week in the hopes that they have managed to get rid of the problems. Its tentative release date is an indication that it’s by no means a done deal at this stage, with just a few days to go.

However, we’ll have to wait until the end of the month for more news on City Update 7, which is set to debut the European Sites 2 enhancements. The cities included in the update are:

  • madrid
  • Good
  • Monte Carlo
  • porto
  • Stockholm

All of these locations will get better photogrammetry and buildings and become more recognizable from the air to anyone who knows them. And even if you don’t know them, the realism will be dramatically improved.

Asobo has meanwhile confirmed that the seasonal season has now been moved to the 2024 project and will not appear in this version of Microsoft Flight Simulator due to the amount of code required to make it function at a high standard.
