Sarah Baker — a reality television star who appeared on MTV’s “The Real World” — has died by suicide … TMZ has learned.
A family member of Baker’s confirmed the sad news to TMZ … they reported she died at her home in Illinois early last week. She had moved to the area last year to care for family, but had plans to move back to California.
Unfortunately, we’re told she’s been struggling with mental health in recent months … including caring for her sick mother and sister – and, a skateboarding accident only added to her troubles.
Sara gained national attention in 1996 when she starred in the fifth season of “The Real World” in Miami.
At the time, she was a 25-year-old comic bookstore employee in La Jolla, California … and, fans will remember when she brought home a puppy during the season’s 13th episode.
Baker’s season marked the first time the cast was given a season-long task to complete—starting a business with $50,000. Conflict and disorganization ultimately thwarted their efforts.
Sarah’s family remembers her as a selfless person who took care of everyone else … but, never took care of herself. She was 52.
Tear out
