The official statement on Monday said: “As per the order… the re-examination was conducted on 23rd June 2024 for 1,563 candidates… out of which a total of 813 candidates appeared,” adding, “It is now informed that the revised score cards of all the candidates of NEET (UG) 2024 (including 1,563 candidates who appeared in the re-examination on 23rd June 2024) are being hosted on the website…”

In Chandigarh, only two candidates were registered but there was zero attendance. Jhajjar centre, which was under investigation, recorded 58 per cent attendance where 287 of the 494 candidates took the exam.

Over 23 lakh of the 24 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET-UG exam held across 4,750 centres on May 5. 67 students initially scored 720 marks, an unprecedented number in the history of NEET, six of whom were from one centre in Haryana, raising suspicion of irregularities and the role of grace marks.

The NEET-UG exam conducted by NTA is for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses in government and private institutions across India.

The agency is currently under investigation over alleged irregularities in the exam, including paper leaks, and various groups are demanding a re-examination.
