Negotiations on U.S.-Ukraine Bilateral Security Agreement Continue – United States Department of State

Building on passage of the President’s supplemental funding request, representatives from the State Department, Defense Department, and National Security Council spoke with Ukrainian counterparts to continue negotiations critical to a long-term bilateral security arrangement and other commitments. G7 joint declaration of support for Ukraine, which was announced in Vilnius last July. The United States is proud to support Ukraine’s efforts to build its current and future military capabilities, while we continue to support Ukraine in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity, rebuilding its economy, protecting its citizens, and supporting the Euro-Atlantic Provide support to help further integration into the community. The United States is one of 32 countries that have a long-term bilateral security arrangement with Ukraine. To date, nine of those countries have completed negotiations and signed such agreements.
