FromSoftware has unveiled a new trailer for alden ring expansionShadow of the Erdtree, one month before release. This preview tells fans about Erdtree Open world fantasy adventure A new glimpse into the DLC’s story, which introduces them to their formidable new opponent, Mesmer the Impaler. This powerful deity appears to share a major connection with the characters from the original Elden Ring story.
In the trailer, Mikaela, who was a secondary character in Elden Ring, steps into a central role. It shows how the Empyrean sacrificed their golden lineage in an attempt to stop Mesmer’s brutal advances. The footage then ends with a group of heroes honoring Mikaela, suggesting that they seek revenge. In February, Bandai Namco released First trailer For Shadow of the Erdtree, where gamers got their first look at new opponents.
Mikaela, who is Melania’s brother, is depicted in the first release guiding The Tarnished to The Land of Shadows, where he awaits the arrival of a prophesied God. Little is known about Mesmer the Impaler, however, it is reasonable to expect that he will play a significant role as a central boss in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
The trailer doesn’t reveal any new gameplay, but it does imply that players will be sent to this unknown area known as the Land of Shadows. To access the new area in Shadow of the Erdtree, players must first gain access to the Mohgwin Dynasty Mausoleum located in the Mohgwin Palace. They must also defeat Mohg, the god of blood, to gain unrestricted access to Mikaela’s cocoon.
How many hours will Erdtree cast a shadow?
FromSoftware director Hidetaka Miyazaki told the Japanese outlet Famitsu Elden Ring: Shadows of the Aardtree’s map is “probably” larger than Limgraves, but he also said the base RPG would take around 30 hours without any “detours”.
The studio has confirmed that the expansion will be quite large. While the base game takes up around 50 GB, the DLC alone requires 60 GB. Although file size is not the most accurate indicator of a game’s length or depth, such a large size suggests that extensive DLC can take several dozen hours to complete.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is scheduled to be released on June 21. Like the original game, the expansion will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
