Nicki Minaj Addresses Amsterdam Arrest: Read Her Response to Fans

nicki minaj has shared an update His Amsterdam arrest in the weekends.

Just hours after the 41-year-old “Super Bass” singer was arrested at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, she took to X (formerly Twitter) and apologized to Manchester fans who had to postpone their show due to the situation in the Netherlands.

In her post, Minaj claimed that she hoped to make it to England in time to perform for fans at the Co-op Live Arena, even after “sitting in a jail cell for 5-6 hours.” She added that her hopes were dashed, however, as her plane was reportedly held for 20 minutes after she boarded the plane, causing the time needed to allow her to perform at the Manchester venue to pass.

“That’s why they had to do a big song and dance because they knew I would still find a way to perform, even if it was limited to my last 90 minutes in the building, which was until 11:30pm. The building was still ready to go after 11pm. For that, I am so grateful,” she wrote.

Minaj said, “So they succeeded in their plan to not let me on that stage tonight. I was able to get to the bottom of it all by recording them and posting everything in real time. I have so much video evidence. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you. I’m going to call the lawyers and God and take it from here.”

According to the rapper, the whole situation stems from drugs found in his bag by security personnel before his first attempt to fly to England from the Netherlands. His claim that he had marijuana – which is classified as a “soft drug” by the country – is backed up by a tweet sent out by local police.

“We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon in Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.” Police said The woman’s identity was not revealed at the time. “After consultation with the public prosecution service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey.”

earlier in the day, Minaj tweeted“Now they said they found marijuana and another group of people have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without my consent. My security has already told them those pre-rolls are theirs. Oh yeah and the pilot wants me to take my IG post down.” she also said First tweeted“This is Amsterdam, where marijuana is legal.”

“Please please please please accept my deepest and most sincere apologies. They definitely knew how to hurt me today, but this too shall pass,” the 12-time Grammy nominee wrote. “I will not only find a way to make up the date with a performance, but I’m going to make it an added bonus for everyone who gets tickets to this show. Promise.”
