on Sunday, bridgerton Stars Nicola Coughlan And luke newton The pair attended the launch event for the third season of the Netflix series at Milton Park Country House in Bowral, Australia — and they offered each other extra support.
Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington, on the carpet bridgerton, and Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton, held hands while posing for the photo. Coughlan wore a sleek off-the-shoulder black dress, while Newton wore a neutral-colored trench over beige trousers and a matching shirt.
The pair didn’t just pose with each other, bridgerton The series’ writer and editor, Jess Brownell, also attended the event and was photographed holding hands with the pair.
season 3 of bridgerton The focus will be on the budding romance between Colin and Penelope, who has had a crush on her friend for years.
in February, ET spoke to Coughlan and Newton About their on-screen romance.
“It was very intimidating to step into that realm of the romantic,” Coughlan said.
Newton echoed his sentiments, but credited their real-life friendship for easily entering this moment.
“I think the question that’s always asked is, is it easier to do intimacy scenes or more romantic scenes with someone who is your friend of four years or someone you just met for a day? I “Safely say it’s easier with him as a friend,” he said. “Really has that kind of support.”
Coughlan said, “It’s scary, but then again, thankfully we have a really good relationship, so we can talk about it, and we can laugh about it when we need to. That’s what made it scary. Gave it, but made it much better.”
bridgerton Season 3 will be released in two parts. The first will launch on Thursday, May 16, while the second part will launch on Thursday, June 13. Each part will consist of four episodes.
