nicole kidman honored on saturday in 49th AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards CeremonyAnd his family also attended this special occasion.
Kidman’s accomplishment was celebrated by her husband, keith urbanas well as her daughters – Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith Margaret, 13 – in a rare red carpet appearance at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
Kidman’s sister Antonia Kidman was also at the star-studded event and brought along her daughter Cybella Hawley, who joined the family for photos on the press line.
Kidman spoke to ET’s Deirdre Behar at the event about how she felt receiving the honor and the support from her loving family.
“I’m a little nervous, to be honest,” Kidman said. “Instead of saying nervous, say you’re excited. So I’m excited!”
“I feel incredibly honored to be a part of this,” she said. “When you look at this list of people being honored, I’m just amazed. And to be the first Australian [honored]”I’m very proud of it.”
She also said she was happy to join her girls, who “are now old enough to come and know what it is.”
“My mom isn’t here, but she’s watching the live stream,” Kidman shared. “And so being able to do that with your family around you gives it such a balance…it’s so important.”
Meanwhile, Kidman glowed like her Oscar statuette in a gold, custom Baleniaga gown, while Urban opted for a chic, traditional black suit with a white button-down and black tie.
During the ceremony, Kidman was honored for her innovative film and art career, Whose work has been recognized by both his peers and scholars and has stood the test of time.
He was recognized and celebrated at the event big little lies co-star Reese Witherspoonas well as Naomi Watts And Morgan Freeman, During this, Meryl Streep Provided real respect to Kidman.
The tribute special will air on June 27 at 10 pm on TNT.
