The son of supermodel Tish Goff and model Nyima Ward has died. He was 27.

Born Nyima Lee Ward in New York City on Jan. 2, 1997, and his first name means “sun” in Tibetan, Ward is remembered as someone who “lived vigorously, loved deeply and made the kind of memories that only a young person who never met a stranger could.”
Ward, who made her modeling debut after turning 18, has modeled for several brands including Anna Sui and Vivienne Tam. It was her mother and her partner, DNA Models owner David Bonouvier, who encouraged Ward to get into modeling. Ward’s father, Aaron Ward, also modeled.
“Both my parents were models. My dad even did a campaign for Calvin Klein a while back,” Ward said. W magazine in 2017. “And my mom started dating David [Bonnouvrier, owner of] DNA [Models] And then they kept trying to sign me and I kept saying, ‘No, no.’ And then I turned 18 and I thought, ‘Why not give it a try.'”
Ward, who loves travel, animals and spending time in the water, made her runway debut at Sui’s fashion show in February 2015. Just 23 years earlier, Ward’s mother also walked the runway at Sui’s fashion show.
Makeup artist Aaron De May paid tribute to Ward through a post on Instagram, which displayed a photo of Ward on the page of a magazine.
“Rest in peace my sweet Nyima 🫅🏻. 🕊️,” De Mey captioned the post. “I love you so much…always a thrill, always fun, always sensitive, always kind. Sending deepest love to your mom, dad and your many friends and family.”
Gauff, 47, captivated the modelling world in the 1990s and appeared in numerous international magazines. She appeared in a number of high-profile campaigns, including for Louis Vuitton, Versace and Christian Dior, among others, and she often took Ward with her to shoots. He later appeared alongside his mother the trend,
“We shot for the US Army the trend When I was 16 or 15,” he said W“And we took a great shot. She was in a really crazy dress and I was in a Ralph Lauren suit and we were both floating in the air. It was amazing. We did that shot a couple of times when I was a kid, too.”
Ward’s family consists of his mother and father.
