The entertainment complex will bring a hotel, apartments, entertainment venues and an event plaza to the front of the Kia Center.

The project will be divided into two phases: the city will provide funding for the first four years to get it started and up to $40 million through 2042.

The city of Orlando also plans to increase funding for the construction of recreation facilities.
