New Delhi: Out of total 1563 candidates, 813 appeared in the exam. NEET-UG Re-test on Sunday, according to National Testing Agency,

This re-examination is being conducted for the affected candidates who lost time during the originally scheduled examination on 5th May.

“Out of a total of 1,563 candidates, only 52 per cent took the re-examination on June 23. The total attendance was 813. Attendance at the two Jajhar centres was 58.09 per cent. Out of 494, 287 took the re-examination.” NTA Said.

The re-conduct of the exam was announced following allegations of irregularities in NEET-UG, including paper leak.

Amid allegations of irregularities in conduct of entrance examinations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday claimed that its website and all its web portals are completely safe.

The NTA rejected the allegations of tampering with the portals, calling them “false and misleading”.

“The NTA website and all its web portals are completely secure. Any information that has been hacked or leaked is false and misleading,” the NTA said in a post on X.

The NTA has been facing criticism over alleged irregularities in the conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance-Test (NEET) (UG) exam 2024. This has created an uproar across the country, with the opposition demanding the abolition of the testing agency. An unprecedented 67 candidates scored 720 out of 720 marks, further fuelling concerns.

Amid allegations of NEET irregularities, the Centre postponed the NEET-PG exam a day before its scheduled date and cancelled the UGC-NET exam held on June 18. (ANI)
