During his time with the Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney memorably sang, “You never give me your money.” But based on the latest news about his net worth, the music legend is doing just fine without any help!

According to Sunday Times’ Annual Rich List (via) ABC News), McCartney is now worth an estimated £1 billion ($1.27 billion).

This makes him the first British musician to achieve billionaire status.

Paul McCartney’s net worth shocks fans

According to the newspaper’s annual list of the 350 wealthiest Britons, McCartney had Very Profitable year.

Obviously, his billionaire status is mostly a result of royalties and other earnings from his extensive back catalog.

But McCartney also got two big boosts in the last 12 months:

Beyonce helped Paul McCartney achieve billionaire status

Beyonce’s cowboy carter It was one of the biggest albums of the year, and prominently featured a cover of the 1968 Beatles song “Blackbird”, which McCartney co-wrote with John Lennon.

(The song was primarily McCartney’s composition, but the legendary songwriting duo had a habit of sharing credit.)

Additionally, McCartney worked with Ringo Starr to release the “last” Beatles song called “Now and Then”.

The track was pieced together using new vocals and instruments from McCartney and Starr, combined with previously unused recordings of the late Beatles’ Lennon and George Harrison.

All this helped 81-year-old McCartney become the richest musician in British history.

He also received help from his extremely wealthy wife.

What’s next for Paul McCartney?

Sir Paul is apparently a little less active these days, but he still performs frequently. And fans hope he will tour again in 2024.

McCartney released his latest solo album in 2020, and has not provided any updates regarding new music since then.

Obviously, the former Beatle solidified his music legend status when he was still in his early twenties. And based on what we know about Paul McCartney’s net worth, he definitely doesn’t need To continue touring and recording.
