Prince William On Monday, June 10, met with the team at the training ground at St George’s Park and spoke to the manager Gareth SouthgateThe Prince of Wales told a humorous story about his youngest son, which also included advice for athletes.
“I was walking the kids to school this morning and I thought, ‘What do I say to the England team today?’ The best advice I ever got was to eat twice as much as you usually do,” William, 41, told the BBC. “And now I imagine you’re all running around the pitch with big bellies and getting stitches.”
He added, “I guess I should take my youngest son’s advice with a pinch of salt.”

England team captain, harry kaneDr. William responded jokingly to the 6-year-old’s wise words. He told William, “I don’t think our nutritionist will be happy with this advice.”
After the anecdote about his youngest son, William gave a talk to encourage the team.
“Tournament football is brutal, and it requires more than ever,” Williams said, adding that Euro 2024 will be “tough”, “fun” and “challenging” as they compete with other teams.

“I just want you guys to know how much it means to everybody here, that you go out there, you give your all, you play for the shirt, you play for each other, you play for the country, because everybody is behind you,” he added. “We really care about what you’re going to do.”

The 10-year-old could be seen cheering with his hand over his mouth during the game. He watched Manchester United win the FA Cup with a score of 2-1 against Manchester City.
Along with his royal family duties, William is also president of the Football Association (FA), the governing body for every football team in England. The FA is also the governing body of tournaments such as the Adobe Women’s FA Cup and the Emirates FA Cup, as well as the Barclays Women’s Super League.

As far as personal team pride goes, William is a fan of Premier League team Aston Villa.
“We are Champions League! A historic season and an amazing achievement. Thank you to Unai, the whole team and everyone at @AVFCOfficial,” William wrote via X after the team secured a place in the UEFA Champions League last month. “Can’t wait for next season.”
