Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses can now upload photos straight to Instagram Stories

The latest update to the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses means you can share photos directly to Instagram with just the press of a button.

Although posting to Instagram Stories isn’t usually a laborious process meta team This has made things even faster and easier for those who want to share photos instantly with their followers.

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are a collaboration between designer Ray-Ban and Meta. They feature an HD camera, as well as open-ear speakers, a touchpad, and a power switch.

Once you are wearing Ray-Ban Meta Glasses All you have to do is press and hold the button on the frame until the white light flashes.

Now, the Meta update means you can simply say ‘Hey Meta, share my last photo on Instagram’ or even ‘Hey Meta, post a photo on Instagram’, and it will do so hands-free.

This feature may not be available to everyone immediately as it is being released gradually.

Other hands-free capabilities have also been added, like being able to play Calm’s guided meditations or self-care content directly on the glasses. Again, this works the same way as the new Instagram feature as you bring it into existence.

Audio from Amazon Music can also be streamed directly to the smartglasses, with the wearable devices being able to play recommended playlists based on your preferences.

Is Meta going to add AR glasses to its existing lineup soon?

At the end of February, a report came out A report from Business Insider states that Meta may showcase and demo its first real augmented reality glasses at its developer conference later this year.

These are separate from the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and Meta Quest headset and are known internally as ‘Orion’.

In 2023, Meta announced a roadmap ahead of its plan to release AR glasses in 2027. But before that, the third generation of Ray-Ban smartglasses could arrive in 2025 that could come with a ‘neural interface band’.
