On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I congratulate the citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands as you celebrate your 45th Constitution Day on May 1.
Our unique friendship and cooperation with the Republic of the Marshall Islands is the foundation of our shared vision for a free, open, resilient and prosperous Pacific Islands region. We are excited to continue this unique friendship and look forward to the next steps towards our new agreements related to the Compact of Free Association.
We commend the leadership of the Republic of the Marshall Islands on environmental protection and work together to address the climate crisis while partnering with the Pacific Islands in adapting and managing the impacts of climate change on lives, health and livelihoods. Are committed. We will also work together to support their leadership on gender equality issues in the Pacific region.
Together we will continue our cooperation on the security, economic development, public health and climate resilience of the Marshall Islands.
