The United States is today imposing sanctions on two Iranian companies and four individuals involved, directly or indirectly, in malicious cyber activity on behalf of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Cyber Electronic Command (IRGC-CEC), a U.S.-designated entity. These actors have targeted more than a dozen American companies and government entities through cyber operations.

The Treasury Department is taking this action in conjunction with the Justice Department dropping indictments against four individuals for their roles in cyber activity targeting U.S. entities.
