Secretary Blinken to Release 2023 International Religious Freedom Report – United States Department of State

Secretary Blinken will deliver an on-camera speech to mark the release of the 2023 International Religious Freedom Report on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. in the Treaty Room of the U.S. Department of State. The event will be broadcast live www.state.gov,

Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, Rashad Hussain, will deliver a speech following Secretary Blinken’s speech.

Freedom of religion or belief is both a core American value and a universal human right. Mandated by the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998, the annual International Religious Freedom Report details the status of religious freedom in 199 foreign countries and territories and describes U.S. actions to promote religious freedom around the world.
