Secretary Blinken spoke with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Shoukry today and thanked him for his continued leadership and close friendship over many years in forging a strong U.S.-Egypt partnership to address regional and global challenges and fostering strong ties between the American and Egyptian people. Minister Shoukry was a leader in multilateral efforts to de-escalate the conflict and press for a lasting solution.
