Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. The two discussed the battlefield situation and efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s integrated air defense. They also condemned Russia’s continued attacks on Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure and talked about measures to improve resilience and energy security ahead of winter. Secretary Blinken reiterated support for Ukraine’s commitment to reforms to advance its goal of greater Euro-Atlantic integration at the upcoming NATO Summit. The Secretary emphasized the United States’ continued support as Ukraine defends its sovereign territory against Russia’s ongoing brutal aggression.
