Secretary Blinken’s Meeting with Haitian Prime Minister Conille – United States Department of State

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today with Haiti’s Prime Minister Gerry Conille and Foreign Minister Dominique Dupuy in Washington, DC.

Secretary Blinken, Prime Minister Conille, and Foreign Minister Dupuy discussed the crisis in Haiti and the recent arrival of the UN-mandated Multinational Security Assistance Mission. The Secretary reaffirmed the US commitment to the mission and the people of Haiti. In addition to improved security, the parties emphasized the importance of good governance, including the facilitation of free and fair elections, inclusive growth, and the provision of humanitarian assistance.
